We are a telemedicine Functional Medicine practice based in Wilmington, NC. We help you explore the WHY behind your symptoms and create a personalized, detailed plan to help you heal yourself, taking into account the whole person: body, mind, and spirit.

Doing Things Differently

We do things differently at UpCurrentFM. We swim against the current of mediocre medicine. We tackle root causes and propel our patients Upwards to reach their highest potential via a whole person, systems biology-based approach.

Equal Partnership

You are invited into an equal partnership between yourself and your provider. Your provider will acknowledge and honor your intuition, a vital aspect in healing. You will be asked questions such as “what do you feel is the reason for your illness?” and “what do you think you need to do to heal?” Your provider will come alongside you in your healing journey, providing you with information, support, and accountability as you make the best choices for yourself.

UpCurrentFM provides an optional, provider-led prayer to God at the beginning and end of each visit for patients who are interested.
